Consolidated turnover at Van de Velde rose by 10.3% to €107 million in the first half of the lingerie specialist’s financial year.

Van de Velde turnover up 10.3% in first half

Consolidated turnover at Van de Velde rose by 10.3% to €107 million in the first half of the lingerie specialist’s financial year.

Excluding early deliveries of the collection for the second half of the year, turnover grew by 9.4% on a like-for-like basis.

In continental Europe retail turnover at Rigby & Peller rose by 12.6%, following strong like-for-like growth in Germany of 18.9%.

Retail turnover at Rigby & Peller in the UK rose by 9.1%, or by 3.9% on a like-for-like basis, in local currency. 

However the group’s Intimacy brand experienced a fall in retail turnover of 22.7%, or 14.1% on a like-for-like basis, in local currency. Meanwhile, retail turnover at the former Donker stores contributed €2.4 million and rose by 13.7% on a like-for-like basis.

REBITDA for the first half of the year increased by 20.5% to exceed the group’s record year in 2011. On a comparable basis and not taking into account early deliveries of the collection for the second half of the year, consolidated REBITDA rose by 19.2%
