Value Retail partners with Ctrip to attract more Chinese tourists

Luxury shopping outlet group Value Retail has become the first outlet group to partner with Chinese online travel agency Ctrip as it looks to attract more Chinese tourists to its centres.

The Bicester Village operator said the partnership will make its collection of outlet villages more accessible to a wider Chinese audience by supporting and facilitating their individual travel needs.

Ian Stazicker, group tourism director at Value Retail, said: “Value Retail and Ctrip are natural partners, as we are both committed to creating exceptional experiences for Chinese tourists to Europe. The Collection of Villages in Europe are very popular destinations for Chinese tourists, and this new alliance with Ctrip will make the luxury village experience more accessible for our Chinese guests than ever before.”

Accounting for 50% of the total online travel service market in China, Ctrip offers hotel reservations, airline tickets and package tours to business and leisure travellers in China and provides travel services to more than 90 million travellers via both online and traditional channels.
