Tunsgate Quarter signs up Cath Kidston

Guildford’s new Tunsgate Quarter retail and restaurant development has signed up lifestyle brand Cath Kidston.

The signing has coincided with topping out event for the development organised by owner Queensbury to mark the completion of the highest point of the roof.

Paul Sargent, chief executive and co-founder of Queensbury, said: “At Queensberry, we are committed to creating thoughtful retail and leisure destinations that have a real and lasting impact on the communities in which they sit. This is very much what we are doing here in Guildford. Cath Kidston is the retailer to sign and joins The Ivy Collection, Oka, Loaf, The White Company and Bobbi Brown.”

Cath Kidston has been trading in Guildford for 10 years and is moving to a new 1,770 square foot unit at Tunsgate Quarter to enabale it to stock a wider range of products.

Sue Carvell, commercial director of Cath Kidston, said: “We’re excited to be opening a larger store in Guildford, reflecting the success we have seen in the town over the past 10 years. We already know how much our local customers enjoy our products and the brand new store will allow us to showcase even more of our popular products.”

Work began on Tunsgate Quarter, which was previously known as Tunsgate Square, late last year. When complete in autumn 2017, the scheme will comprise 18 shops and eight restaurants.
