Touchwood to welcome upsized Next and new Pandora store

The Touchwood shopping centre in Solihull is to see Next expand its store to 25,000 square feet.

The retailer will trade from two floors on Touchwood’s Crescent Arcade, adjacent to River Island, H&M and the recently opened Monsoon.

With work due for completion this month, the store will feature the brand’s latest design and will stock the full range of Next products.

The upsize will include the creation of a new shoe room and an expanded childrenswear department.

A spokesperson from Next said: “We have great loyal customers in the Solihull area and, because of this, we thought it was only right to increase the store size. Doing so will not only bring more products, but make the shopping experience more enjoyable too.”

In addition, Pandora is relocating into Touchwood to create a new 3,400 square foot boutique. Situated opposite John Lewis on Crescent Arcade, the store will open this autumn and will sell Pandora’s complete range, including the Pandora Essence and Rose Collections.

In the last 12 months, the Lendlease owned centre has seen openings by Monsoon, Joules, Thomas Cook, Smiggle and Five Guys.

Guy Thomas, head of retail asset management at Lendlease, said: “Next’s decision to upsize follows their consistently strong performance at Touchwood.

“At the same time, Pandora is a great complement to Touchwood’s existing mix, which provides visitors with the most comprehensive retail and leisure offer in the West Midlands.”
