Thomas & Friends on track for toy fair 2010
Toy Fair has confirmed that HIT Entertainment is sponsoring the visitor entrance at Toy Fair 2010. The foyer area at Olympias Grand Hall will be branded with Thomas & Friends imagery in celebration of the propertys 65th birthday next year.
HIT Entertainment is one of the world’s leading independent children’s entertainment producers and rights owners. Alongside Thomas & Friends, its impressive portfolio includes properties such as Barney™, Bob the Builder™, Pingu™, Fireman Sam™, Angelina Ballerina™ and Rainbow Magic™.
Thomas & Friends is the world’s number one preschool property and is broadcast in more than 185 territories in 30 languages around the world. In the UK, Thomas & Friends airs on Five Milkshake! and Nick Jr. A new CG-animated television series is set for its UK broadcast debut in January 2010.
In addition to a Thomas & Friends branded entrance area, Cartoon Network and Bandai are sponsoring the visitor bags for 2010.
“Sponsorship at Toy Fair is a fantastic opportunity for companies that are connected to the toy industry but who would not naturally exhibit at the event to still reach the thousands of key players in the UK toy, game and hobby market who attend,” explained Toy Fair event manager Simon Pilling. “The entrance hall and bags may have been snapped up already, but a handful of high profile promotional opportunities remain, for example, the Toy Fair lanyards, You Are Here boards, fair planner and Industry Awards.”
Toy Fair – the only dedicated toy, games and hobby event in the UK – takes place 26-28 January 2010. The event is already 97 per cent sold out with around 170 exhibitors expected to be on the show floor in January. The floor plan includes a combination of regular, returning and first time exhibitors, such as Bandai, Character Options, Flair, Golden Bear, Hasbro, Leapfrog, Lego, Melissa and Doug, Playmobil, Re:creation, Spin Master, Vivid Imaginations and Worlds Apart.
