The Co-operative Group in £200 million Christmas giveaway

The Co-operative Group is to offer a range of Christmas price cuts and promotions worth £200 million, which includes the best ever dividend to its members, in a move designed to help consumers in these tough times.

The first ever triple dividend is part of the promotional activity that will be available at the 3,000 Co-operative and Somerfield stores spread throughout the UK. In addition, customers will be able to enjoy a range of coupons, worth a total of £60 million that offer discounts on their next shopping bills.

Peter Marks, chief executive of The Co-operative Group, stated: “With rising fuel prices and financial pressures hitting household budgets this Christmas, customers are looking for a great deal locally.”
