A shopping centre and retail park in the Scottish town of Livingston have been sold for £224.1 million.

The Centre and Almondvale West Retail Park sold for £224 million

A shopping centre and retail park in the Scottish town of Livingston have been sold for £224.1 million.

Scotland’s second-largest covered shopping mall The Centre has been sold by Land Securities to HSBC Alternative Investments. Totalling more than one million square feet, The Centre is home to over 160 retailers including Primark, Debenhams, BHS and Marks & Spencer.

HSBC has also acquired Land Securities’ Almondvale West Retail Park where retailers include TK Maxx and Matalan.

Scott Parsons, managing director of retail at Land Securities, said: “The sale of The Centre and Almondvale West Retail Park follows a number of recent transactions demonstrating our clear commitment to reshaping our shopping centre portfolio to focus on dominant regional and Greater London assets.”
