The Bentall Centre, Kingston-upon-Thames realises The American Dream with latest signings
American fashion retailers Hollister and Timberland, join a dynamic mix of fashion labels at The Bentall Centre, Kingston, taking 6,200 sq ft and 2,000 sq ft stores respectively.
Both stores will be located on the prime ground floor trading level, along with other recent lettings to Superdry, Tommy Hilfiger and Pandora.
Hollister will occupy two adjacent units on the ground floor of the centre on a 10-year lease. The units will be combined into a single 5,286 sq ft store with 914 sq ft storage, scheduled to open this coming December. The decision to open a store at The Bentall Centre is part of a larger European expansion strategy for the brand. The first Hollister opened in the UK in London in October of 2008.
Timberland has taken a 1,954 sq ft unit on the ground floor of the centre on a new 10-year lease. There are approximately 25 stores including factory outlets and authorised retailers in the UK. Timberland is continuing its expansion throughout the UK, however, remains selective in its acquisition programme.
Gareth Evans of Aviva Investors - Asset Managers of The Bentall Centre on behalf of the joint owners Aviva Linked Property Fund and Meyer Bergman, commented: "These important lettings represent our ongoing commitment to provide a vibrant retailing environment that meets the expectations of our brand savvy customers.”
