Tesco unveils bespoke Christmas windows featuring QR and augmented reality
Tesco has unveiled its first bespoke high-street Christmas window display at its store in Londons Regent Street.
The display at the Tesco Metro store includes QR and Augmented Reality technology where shoppers can preview and buy products without even having to enter the store. The technology is being extended to interactive window displays at a further 11 Tesco shops around the country.
The Regent Street window features a six foot biscuit house which is framed in a Scandinavian-style snow setting. Products on display include Tesco’s Finest food range together with a collection of gifts and decorations.
Each item is available online at Tesco.com where customers can click and buy products to be picked up from the Metro store the following day.
Robert Folly, store manager at Tesco Metro Regent Street said: “The team and I were so excited to be chosen for the first Tesco Christmas window display. We hope that our customers enjoy it, the biscuit house looks good enough to eat so we may have to keep an eye on keeping the windows and doors intact until the big day!”
