Tesco shakes up its senior marketing team
Tesco has reshuffled its senior marketing team in a move that comes as a Kantar WorldPanel report shows that the supermarket giantÂ’s market share has fallen to 29.7%, the worst level since May 2005.
The company has appointed David Wood, currently Tesco’s commercial director in Hungary, as UK marketing director. Current incumbent Carolyn Bradley is moving to a new position of group brand director reporting to deputy chief executive and chief marketing officer Tim Mason.
Wood, who worked in marketing and brand management at Kraft and Unilever before joining Tesco, will also replace Bradley on the UK operating board.
Last month Tesco issued its first profit warning in 20 years following the worst trading in its UK business in decades.
