Temperley London appoints new chief executive
Temperley London has appointed Ulrik Garde Due as its new chief executive as the luxury fashion brand embarks on its next phase of global expansion.
Garde Due will succeed the company’s long standing chief executive and co-founder Lars von Bennigsen who will continue as a major shareholder and remain on the Temperley Board as an executive director.
Having worked for over 20 years in the luxury brands sector, Garde Due has held senior roles at Burberry and Celine and most recently was chief executive at Danish luxury jeweller Georg Jensen.
Commenting on the appointment Alice Temperley said: "This is a very exciting moment for us all - we are delighted to be entering this new era of Temperley with such a well respected executive as our new leader. As a brand, we have been in constant evolution and this is a very exciting part of our development. We are thrilled to welcome Ulrik who has outstanding credentials with the ability and skills to lead our company through the next stages of expansion."
Garde Due added: "I am delighted to be joining the Temperley Brand. Lars and the Team have built a terrific brand platform and when I met Alice I immediately understood her incredible creative acumen. We now need to leverage her talent fully as well as the unique positioning of aspirational, timeless and chic British Lifestyle. With the Team, we will exploit internationally all the great opportunities the Temperley Brand represents."
