Ted Baker reports strong sales growth
The company said retail sales climbed by 14.3% year-on-year despite difficult trading conditions across some of its global markets. Online sales rose by 35.9%..
During the period, Ted Baker opened new stores in Los Angeles, Paris, and Shanghai and also launched its first Dutch outlet in Roermond and further concessions in premium department stores in France, Germany, Japan, South Korea, the Netherlands and the UK. In addition, it relocated its Miami Aventura and Tokyo stores.
Ray Kelvin, founder and chief executive, said: "This continued good performance across all of our distribution channels is a reflection of the strength and appeal of Ted Baker as a global lifestyle brand.
“We are very pleased with the customer response during the period and, despite an uncertain macro environment, we remain positioned to deliver further progress and our expectations for the full year."
