Taylor Swift to switch on Christmas Lights at Westfield London
The 22-year-old Grammy award winner will appear on stage in The Atrium on 6 November with young people from Westfield’s Christmas charity partner, Save the Children, to countdown an expected 10,000 fans to the switch-on of the centre’s Christmas lights. After a display of pyrotechnics, snow and lasers, Swift will perform three of her hit singles, including ‘We Are Never Getting Back Together’ from her newly released album, ‘Red.’
Myf Ryan, Westfield’s general manager, marketing UK said: "The Christmas lights switch-on is one of the highlights of the festive calendar and we are incredibly excited that Taylor Swift is launching Christmas for us at Westfield London. Not only is Taylor such a globally recognised artist, she is also of enormous appeal to our shoppers. We look forward to putting on a memorable show for our visitors."
Previous celebrities to switch on the Christmas lights at Westfield London include Mariah Carey (2009), Rihanna (2010) and Justin Bieber (2011).
