SuperValu launches 'drive-through' shopping
SuperValu has launched what it says is the first drive-through supermarket service in Ireland at its store at Carrigaline in Co Cork.
The new service enables customers to place their orders online and then pick up their shopping without entering the store by using the drive-through facility.
Previously, SuperValu customers who shopped online could either get their shopping delivered to their home or collect their goods in store. The new service widens the options and allows customers to pick up their shopping without leaving their car.
Commenting on the launch Martin Kelleher, managing director of SuperValu, said: “We are delighted to launch our first ever drive-through service in Carrigaline. This is the first of its kind to SuperValu and we hope to roll this out to a number of stores by the end of the year. We realise that many of our customers have a very busy lifestyle or may find it difficult to come instore, and this convenient service will save them time and effort when it comes to doing the necessary weekly shop.“
