Stanfords, the travel book and map retailer, has bolstered its management team with three new appointments.

Stanfords bolsters management team with three new appointments

Stanfords, the travel book and map retailer, has bolstered its management team with three new appointments.

Jon Woolcott has joined the company in the newly created role of buying and marketing director after having previously worked as marketing manager at Waterstones.

In addition, Steve Chilton and Donald Kyle have been appointed as retail managers at Stanfords’ flagship store in London’s Covent Garden. Both were previously managers at a number of Waterstones stores.

Stanfords managing director Tony Maher said: “I am absolutely delighted to announce the appointments of Jon, Steve and Donald. They will be an invaluable addition to our already talented team – their experience and knowledge will be instrumental in helping to develop and fulfil our plans for the future.

“In the last year we have made enormous changes to the business and we continue to explore new opportunities through the introduction of new product ranges and by strengthening our brand.”
