SPS Loyalty Solution double award winner
This follows success in May at the All Ireland Marketing Awards where the innovative Applegreen Rewards Programme won the CRM award. This program went live in 2012 and is a comprehensive full-service loyalty solution, which has been developed and implemented with Applegreen by Swiss Post Solutions.
It contains programme management, analytics and campaign management. Mike Brinn, customer loyalty director SPS said: “We are delighted for Applegreen and their success on winning this award. The Loyalty Awards celebrate excellence, innovation and best practice in the loyalty industry across Europe, the Middle East, and new for 2013, Africa. Created by Loyalty Magazine, the awards have responded to a desire in the loyalty business to celebrate the achievements of those companies and organisations excelling and achieving the extraordinary. The Applegreen Rewards programme was successful against a cross–section of large international competitors from across the region.
The All Ireland Marketing Awards programme (AIM Award), organised by the Marketing Institute of Ireland, is the nation's premier means of recognising the success of Irish marketing profes-sionals and acknowledging their major contribution to the on-going process of strengthening the economy of Ireland. These "Oscars" for the marketing profession are centred on the strategic value of marketing as a driver of business success, and they will highlight excellence and best practice in all areas of marketing. The comprehensive range of awards within the programme reflect the full range of marketing activities including customer relationship management, international marketing, advertising, PR, sponsorship management and digital marketing.
Applegreen is Ireland’s largest independent forecourt retailer with over 100 sites trading in the Republic of Ireland and United Kingdom. Applegreen continuously strives to improve its retail offerings by creating simple solutions for customers and are a leader in innovation. Double award success was attributed to the success in implementing the Applegreen Rewards pro-gramme.
It saw massive take-up and contributed to a sharp revenue surge in contrast to the downward trend in the sector. "We are delighted to have won the Best New Loyalty Programme EMEA recently in London, and the CRM Customer Care AIM Award 2013 in Ireland for our Applegreen Rewards Programme. We developed a very strong technical and analytic relationship with Swiss Post Solutions and the solution proved easy to implement with our current systems,“ said Joe Barrett, Applegreen's operations director.
