Spitalfields rolls out first major advertising campaign
The Spitalfields shopping district in London has rolled out its first major advertising campaign as it looks to encourage more West End shoppers to venture further east when shopping for fashion.
The move follows the launch of Spitalfield’s new Saturday Style Market, which showcases the work of new independent designers alongside the more established designers in the retail units.
The campaign features models Fabian Nordstrom and Delina, both of whom live locally to Spitalfields, dressed in designer wear from the independent designers representing the shops and markets at Spitalfields.
Jason Dervin, Spitalfields estate general manager, said: “Spitalfields is proud of its reputation for supporting new talent and fresh ideas. The quality, creativity and skill of the independent designers we have is outstanding so we felt it only right to expand into a seven-days-a-week destination and to utilise the work of our Style Market traders in the campaign. We have strong and dedicated support in the City and east London but now we want to show West End shoppers and tourists that there is an alternative that’s both more ethical and more stylish.”
The campaign will run until December at six main underground stations and further plans include a shopping event and fashion show.
