SockShop launches mobile site
SockShop, the sock and hosiery retailer, has launched its first mobile-optimised website as it looks to expand its multi-channel offering.
Designed around SockShop’s existing website, the mobile site has an improved search facility optimised for mobile shoppers, enabling customers to purchase SockShop products in as little as 60 seconds.
It also supports both credit and debit card transactions as well as PayPal and uses the standard SockShop checkout supported by Chapter Eight's PCI DSS Level 1 certification.
SockShop said the development of the mobile site will help it to expand. The retailer currently sells more than 40 brands including Pretty Polly, Pringle and Calvin Klein.
Cassie Ash, marketing manager from SockShop, said: "With smart phones becoming increasingly popular, consumer Internet shopping habits are changing, so we believe a mobile site is absolutely essential."
