Stationery brand Smiggle is to open a new store within Peacocks at Woking Shopping.

Situated in Town Mall, the 807 square foot store will open in November in time for the busy festive period.

The Australian-based retailer has been expanding across the UK during the past two years and now has 32 stores with a further eight to open before Christmas.

Managing director of Smiggle, John Cheston, said: “We are delighted to be opening a store amongst very good company at Woking Shopping. The number of other great brands joining the destination was an encouraging factor to us in taking a store there and it is exciting to be part of such a thriving location.”

Other brands to join Woking Shopping over the last 12 months include the likes of Fat Face, Bill’s Restaurant, Las Iguanas, Carluccio’s, Ed’s Easy Diner, Carphone Warehouse, Montezuma, and Suit Room. Together, the ten new brands total over 24,000 square feet of space. The year has also seen the opening of the Tante Marie Cooking Academy on Commercial Way.

Tim Buckley of Moyallen, asset manager of the Peacocks, said: “Smiggle is a vibrant brand that will bring something new to Woking Shopping’s retail offer. The arrival of Smiggle, plus the wealth of other new brands at Woking over the past 12 months, shows how much confidence leading brands have in Woking Shopping, underlying its real sense of momentum.”
