Sloggi makes two senior appointments

Sloggi, the Triumph owned bodywear brand, has promoted Alex Cara to the new role of global head of omnichannel and appointed Paul Gautier to Cara’s previous role of general manager for northern Europe.

Having joined Sloggi on 2017, Cara has launched a range of new product initiatives whilst growing the business. In his new position, he will lead the growth and development of Sloggi’s retail store and ecommerce channels from its Swiss headquarters.

Cara said: “The launch of our retail stores together with the importance of digital will give Sloggi a direct relationship with consumers and the ability to showcase product innovation and underline our mission of providing ultimate comfort. Through our stores we want to create emotion and deliver amazing experiences for our consumers. This is an exciting time for the Sloggi brand and I am delighted to be able to help deliver our new product innovation to a wider audience, across new distribution channels."

With 25 years’ experience in advertising, fashion and sports apparel, Gautier's past roles include global marketing director and general management positions within the PUMA group where he was a key figure in the brand’s repositioning and business turnaround. Based in Sloggi’s London offices, he will be responsible for driving Sloggi’s growth plans for Northern Europe.

Gautier said: “It’s an incredibly exciting time for the Sloggi brand, with the new brand vision and strategy continuing to ramp up in 2019. As we continue to invest in our people, product innovation and owned and operated stores, and with several global launches in the pipeline.”

Both Cara and Gautier will report to Sloggi chief executive Ludovic Manzon.
