Schuh appoints chief marketing officer

Footwear retailer Schuh has appointed Alice Cleary as chief marketing officer.

Cleary will be part of an eight-strong management team that includes managing director Colin Temple.

Commenting on the appointment, Temple said: “We are fortunate to have a great new dynamic that brings a wealth of experience to our business. Alice’s appointment will further cement Schuh’s position as one of the UK’s leading fashion brands.”

With 15 years’ marketing experience, Cleary was previously global marketing director at Australian makeup brand Nude by Nature. Prior to that she held a similar role at the Sass & Bide fashion brand.

In her new position, she will be working to deliver a holistic marketing strategy across Schuh’s brand, creative, visual merchandising, PR, CRM and digital areas.
