David Jones

Sainsbury’s Bank has appointed Moneysupermarket managing director David Jones as chief customer officer.

Sainsbury’s Bank appoints chief customer officer

Sainsbury’s Bank has appointed Moneysupermarket managing director David Jones as chief customer officer.

Jones will lead the bank’s newly formed customer division, bringing together trading and marketing teams. He will also sit on the board of directors.

Joining Sainsbury’s Bank from price comparison website Moneysupermarket, Jones previously worked at Virgin Money in a variety of senior roles including commercial director and bank development director. Prior to that, he was commercial director at RBS and spent seven years at Procter & Gamble in a range of European brand management positions.

Peter Griffiths, chief executive of Sainsbury’s Bank, said: "This is an important appointment for the Bank as we continue to put the customer at the heart of everything we do, from product design to customer experience. David shares this commitment and our values, which is what makes him an excellent fit and I look forward to welcoming him to the team."
