Royal Selangor appoints country manager for UK

Malaysian luxury pewter specialist, Royal Selangor, has promoted David Mills to the position of country manager for the UK.

The move follows the marking of the company’s 130th anniversary earlier this year with the opening of its first UK flagship store on London’s Kings Road.

Royal Selangor said Mills had been promoted following an “impressive” performance during his initial six months with the company after he joined the business in April.

He will now turn his attention to the future and where he would like take the brand. Mills said: “My vision is to continue to elevate Royal Selangor’s brand presence within the UK. Through communicating and raising awareness of the exquisite products and the brand’s commitment to its heritage and craftsmanship, I aim to put the 261 King’s Road flagship on the map as a destination for luxury home ware, and having just launched the official Star Wars collectors range, am confident the unique offering will propel Royal Selangor UK to a successful future.”

Prior to joining Royal Selangor, Mills spent four years with luxury department store, Harrods, where he managed multiple interiors and homeware concessions within the store.
