River Island to upsize Rushmere store
The new layout will feature extended womenswear and childrenswear sections.
Holly Fulco, senior press officer at River Island, said: “A location such as Rushmere, with continual high footfall and strong demand for our brand, makes it the perfect place to grow our presence and deliver a comprehensive in-store offer. We are also boosted by the great brands alongside us as part of the retail line-up at Rushmere and its reputation as a leading regional shopping destination.”
The extension caps a strong year of retail investment for Rushmere during which Next unveiled a major store refurbishment and Topshop and H&M also updated their stores.
Martin Walsh, Rushmere Shopping Centre manager, said: “We are delighted that River Island and all our fashion brands are continuing to trade strongly, innovate, and invest in their space so that they can ensure that today’s modern consumer can shop seamlessly across stores, online, their mobiles and tablets.”
