Retailers ignore m-commerce at their peril

Despite a recent survey finding that 54% of consumers who used a smartphone are happy to purchase via m-commerce, 76% of high street retailers still do not have a mobile site or mobile-optimised content.

The  YouGov survey commissioned by 2ergo found that 54% of consumers who used a smartphone to browse the internet said they would feel comfortable making a purchase via m-commerce.

However, the majority of high street retailers still do not have a mobile site or mobile-optimised content. Of those that do, almost 20% do not have m-commerce capabilities and only a quarter are optimised for iPhone users.
The Retail Bulletin’s Mobile Retailing Summit, sponsored by DigiPos, will help retailers address this situation through a highly-informative programme on September 27th.

Senior retailer speakers include Waitrose, Tesco.com,  Marks & Spencer,  Aurora Fashions,  Harrods,  Shop Direct Group, Halfords, Carphone Warehouse,  Waterstones, New Look,  Phones 4U, lastminute.com, Chiltern Railways - and these are joined by industry experts  DigiPos, Barclaycard, eDigitalResearch, Mobilize and the Javelin Group.

You can join your forward-thinking peers from Carpetright, Monsoon, Beales, The White Company, Westfield online, McDonald’s Restaurants, Game Group, M & M Direct, Morrisons, Argos, B & Q, Hotel Chocolat, River Island, Burberry, Comet, Everything Everywhere, Next, Handpicked and Gorgeous, The Co-operative Group, Xtra-vision, Wolseley plc, Telefonica UK, American Express Group , Boots, Maplin Electronics, Heals……

This event will be highly interactive and will give delegates the chance to put their burning questions to our top-level retail and industry experts. Do not this opportunity – click here to register now.
