Retail Trust's Midsummer Celebration raises £90,000 for the charity
Retail Trust, the charity that looks after the three million people working in retail, hosted its Midsummer Celebration last week which raised over £90,000.
Held on 24 June in the beautiful surroundings of Manchester Cathedral, the event was sponsored by Pets at Home, Kenneth Green Associates and Squire Patton Boggs.
The celebration brought together 250 people who between them raised £90,000 in funds for the charity to enable it to continue delivering key programmes and initiatives such as its youth training scheme RetailRIGHT and the RetailCURe credit union.
Retail Trust chief executive Richard Boland said: “We have enjoyed a great night at Manchester Cathedral, raising over £90,000 for the Retail Trust. The venue is absolutely stunning, and the Northern retail sector should be very proud of its generosity and support this evening. We’d like to express many thanks to all those involved in this wonderful celebration.”
Presenters during the evening included Anne Latham, the Celebration committee chair, and store manager of House of Fraser in Manchester.
