The first day of Clearance saw Bluewater, Kingston, Solihull, Cambridge, Peterborough, Aberdeen and Norwich setting records. Furthermore, Oxford Street and Peter Jones both set records for the first day of Clearance, beating the previous record day significantly.
Johnlewis.com also broke numerous records: a record ever week, up 53 per cent on a year ago, with their first ever million visitor day at the start of the week and setting a new annual turnover milestone cumulatively.
EHT online scaled a new peak, while Womenswear doubled the forecast and Home also went through a new turnover threshold.
The company says that this week has also started strongly.
