Record Christmas for London Designer Outlet
Quintains London Designer Outlet has enjoyed its best-ever Christmas after half a million people visited the centre over the festive period.
Like-for-like sales were up by more than 12% during the period compared with the previous year.
Managed by Realm, LDO is situated at Wembley Park and attracted 6.5 million visitors in 2015. Having launched in October 2013, the centre's retailers now include the likes of H&M, Gap, The North Face, Nike, SuperDry and Guess, as well as Levi’s, Sony and Franklin & Marshall.
In September 2015, LDO launched the UK’s first retail skills academy for the outlet sector to provide its store employees with free training to boost their careers in retail.
Matt Slade, managing director of Wembley Park, said: “Savvy shoppers helped LDO to defy the gloom on the high street and deliver record sales and visitor numbers this Christmas. A successful Christmas was a fitting finale to an outstanding year for LDO which firmly cemented its position as one of the leading outlet centres in Europe. The combination of high street fashion and top brands at outlet prices, plus a wide range of quality restaurants and bars has proven a winning combination with customers across the capital.”
