Product News: Ogone Payment Services processes 16.6 billion EUR in 2012
Despite the economic crisis, Ogone has enjoyed a 35.4% increase in turnover processed on its platforms in 2012 and expects similar growth figures for 2013.
With a worldwide presence featuring a strong pan-European focus, Ogone is now reinforcing its activity in the USA and in India, as well as prospecting new markets such as Asia. In terms of vision, there are plans to further invest in product innovation and development in order to enrich its solutions for fraud prevention and financial services.
One of these future-proof solutions is Ogone Collect, which allows merchants to accept the most popular local and international payment methods in several countries and currencies through a single contract.
Head of sales for UK & Ireland Julian Wallis highlights the importance of payment methods when expanding internationally. “There are lots to consider when expanding overseas. Retailers need to think about localising the offering as this gives a better chance of success. This involves using the local language and having a specific website per country that has a local domain name. However, the payments side is often left until the end and is [often] an afterthought,”.
Julian joins an impressive list of speakers at the Retail Bulletin's International Expansion Summit, 26th March 2013. Speakers include George International, Alliance Boots, Austin Reed, The Mothercare Group, The Hamleys Group, Costa Coffee, Bench International, The Javelin Group, Hobbs, Icon Live, Field Fisher Waterhouse, Codex Global, AWMD.
