Product news: ByBox offers retailers additional revenue stream
Site hosts, whether they are retail parks, shopping centres, petrol stations or even local retailers are being offered annual fees for simply hosting a ByBox locker. As well as the fee paid for hosting, ByBox says they will benefit from increased footfall and will also be offered extended marketing opportunities as the screens on the lockers can be branded and offer upselling opportunities. Additionally, location hosts will also have the opportunity to use the lockers themselves to receive and return items.
ByBox specialises in delivering parcels to a nationwide locker network. The lockers, which can be installed outside as well as inside, are already located at 1500 sites across the UK and can be used by consumers to get their online shopping delivered. ByBox offers a convenient and highly reliable solution for people who are not normally at home when parcels are delivered and have to go through the headache of rearranging a delivery or collecting from a depot.
Customers receive a text or an email when a parcel is delivered into the locker and can collect at their convenience by entering a unique code. ByBox makes 20 million deliveries a year and with demand rapidly expanding, they are looking for site hosts.
“Over the course of 2012, we have been installing our lockers at a rapid pace due to great demand from all areas of the country. Our lockers are located at sites ranging from supermarkets to train and petrol stations, sports grounds and storage sites and we have received extremely positive feedback for the quick and simple process of installing the lockers” said Stuart Miller, CEO and co-founder of ByBox.

The solution has been recognised by a number of retailers such as Figleaves.com and Jokers Masquerade who have integrated with ByBox to allow their customers to receive goods via ByBox lockers.
