Primark opens first store in Paris
Primark has opened its first store in Paris at the Hammerson operated OParinor shopping centre.
The new Primark store is part of a €50 million renovation programme at O’Parinor which includes a new cinema anchor and restaurant quarter as well as prime retail space.
Jean-Philippe Mouton, managing director for Hammerson France, said: “Primark has been one of the outstanding retail success stories in recent years and its brand presence continues to drives strong footfall. Being able to deliver its compelling fashion offer to the Parisian catchment will strengthen O’Parinor’s appeal with both retailers and shoppers.”
O’Parinor has over 12 million visitors a year and is anchored by one of the top ten Carrefour hypermarkets in France. Other major retailers at the centre include Sephora, Guess, G-Star, Zara and H&M.
