Pretty Green reports surge in Christmas sales
Pretty Green, the menswear retailer part owned Liam Gallagher, saw its like-for-like sales climb by 33% in the run up to Christmas.
On a total basis sales rose by 39% in the six weeks to end December.
Pretty Green chief executive Richard Ralph said: “We are particularly pleased with our record performance over the Christmas period, but also for the whole first quarter of this financial year.
“We believe our results are testament to the strength of our brand both in the UK and Japan, where we already operate five stores.”
Wholesale revenues increased by 37% while international sales rose by 12%.
The company said it is looking to expand both in the UK and overseas in 2015.
Ralph added: “The Pretty Green team has been extremely busy and our expansion programme remains on track. In the first quarter, we opened two new London stores and announced the launch of six concessions in House of Fraser.”
The company’s online sales were also strong, climbing by 41% in the six week period.
