Phones4U hires new chief executive
Mobile phone retailer Phones 4U has appointed David Kassler as its new chief executive.
Joining the group on 11 November, Kassler will assume the responsibilities that group chief executive Tim Whiting has been covering on an interim basis since May. Whiting will remain in his position.
Kassler was most recently chief executive of EMI Music until its acquisition by Universal earlier this year. Prior to that, he was operating partner at Terra Firma and a managing director at Bass Brewing, following experience working with OC&C and Gemini Consulting Groups.
Commenting on the appointment, Whiting said: “We are delighted to welcome David to Phones 4u. This is an important time for our business and an incredibly exciting period for the industry. We’re confident that David’s passion and track record of delivering excellent customer experiences will bring success to Phones 4u as we continue our journey in the mobile market.”
