Online searches for vuvuzela increase 20 fold
Last week saw a 20-fold increase in searches for 'vuvuzela', the controversial horns that are used to make the swarm of bees sound heard at all the matches played in South Africa according to Experian Hitwise, the online competitive intelligence service.
Already, the BBC has received 545 complaints about the sound of vuvuzelas during its World Cup broadcasting. To the week ending 12 June, there were more searches for vuvuzelas than for Wayne Rooney, England flag or Robert Green.
