Oddbins launches new website

Wine retailer Oddbins has launched a new website where customers can select wines according to their mood as well by the more traditional categorisations of country, grape and taste.

Visitors are able to browse the site according to suggested wine pairings for passion, adversity and contemplation or can choose wines suited to staying in, going out or celebrating.
 
The site also recommends pairings for different types of music with Montemar Malbec 2011 matched to Taylor Swift and Grange Des Roc Blancs 2009 to Elbow.

Oddbins is planning to increase the number of wines it sells on the site  from  100 to 500-600 in the coming weeks.

Managing director Ayo Akintola said: “Ecommerce is an extremely important part of the new Oddbins going forward. The design and content of the new website is very much in keeping with the Oddbins philosophy of making wine as accessible as possible for consumers.”
