Nisa launches e-learning portal for Retail Academy
Launched in partnership with UpSkill people, the symbol group’s online portal will complement the training guides offered to retailers through their Nisa membership.
Nisa said the “bite size” training modules will enable members’ teams to learn at a time and pace to suit them. Each participating staff member will receive an individual learning road map as well as assessments and feedback for each course.
The online training facility will include a range of courses covering topics such as Welcome to Retail – Induction, Sales and Service, Health & Safety, Restricted Products and Food Hygiene.
Emma Brock, Nisa training manager, said: “The benefits of having a team which is well trained are simple – it helps keep stores legal and shows due diligence, encourages high customer service levels – which will help to drive customer loyalty – and finally well trained staff have a higher morale which leads to increased productivity. All of this will undoubtedly have a positive impact on the store and its customers’ experiences.”
