Nisa appoints new business unit director

Nisa Retail has appointed Vodafone‘s retail expert Steve Leach to the newly created position of business unit director for independents and specialists.

The move is part of Nisa’s continued to investment in its future growth as a more retail focused company.

Reporting to Nisa chief operating officer Amanda Jones, Leach will support the differing needs of Nisa’s independent and specialist members in his new role, with the aim of developing and growing this side of the business.

Having worked extensively in the retail sector, Leach was most recently head of retail at Vodafone. Prior to Vodafone, he held senior roles at Alliance Boots, including head of retail transformation, as well as management roles at Sainsbury’s and Marks and Spencer.

Commenting on the appointment Jones said: “We are delighted to welcome Steve on board as the new business unit director for independents and specialists, which will take effect from January. His appointment demonstrates the positive strategic direction Nisa is taking to become a more retail focused business that is more equipped to deliver retail solutions and benefits to our wide range of differing members in an increasingly competitive market place.”
