Next to open its largest tax-free store at Stansted
Next is to open its largest tax-free store at Stansted AirportÂ’s re-developed international departure lounge next month.
In addition to selling fashion for women and men, the new store will also stock the brand’s range of children’s clothing, which is a first at any UK airport.
Iain Allsop, estates manager for Next said: “We’re extremely excited to be opening yet another airport store within the UK. Stansted is a fantastic airport with great facilities and we’re very pleased to be part of it. This store will be perfect for any shopper that needs those last minute fashion products."
Acquired by MAG in 2013, London Stansted is the fourth largest airport in the UK and handles over 18 million passengers a year. The new departure lounge is part of an £80 million project to improve services and facilities for passengers using the terminal.
Beth Brewster, MAG’s retail director said: “Our vision to transform Stansted was to offer a broader range of options for passengers and so to secure such a leading high street brand is a very exciting development.
“These are exciting times at Stansted and I’m delighted to welcome Next on-board as they join the line up of global brands, new concepts and popular favourites getting involved with our multi-million pound development.”
