M&S teams up with British Fashion Council to promote British fashion
Marks & Spencer has embarked on an exclusive three-year partnership with the British Fashion Council which will see the two organisations working together to promote and celebrate British fashion.
As part of the ‘Best of British’ initiative, M&S will also launch two exclusive new clothing collections for both men and women featuring a combination of British heritage, sourcing and production.
Natalie Massenet, BFC chairman, said: "The M&S brand is synonymous with all things British so we are delighted that they will be partnering with us to champion the very best of the UK's manufacturing, textiles and practice. We are charging them with taking a lead on positive fashion and change within our industry. Myself and the team are looking forward to developing this with them over the next three years," said Natalie Massenet, chairman of the BFC.
Marc Bolland, M&S chief executive, added: "We are proud to collaborate with the British Fashion Council and look forward to working alongside them on our exciting ‘Best of British’ initiative. This is the start of an exciting journey to put more emphasis on British design and talent."
