Morrisons appoints new marketing and customer experience directors
Morrisons has appointed Rebecca Singleton as its marketing director. Singleton is currently head of non-food marketing at Sainsburys, where she recently led the launch of the grocers new Gok Wan clothing range.
Singleton, who will join Morrisons at the end of March, will assume responsibility for corporate brand, advertising, in-store marketing and print services. She will report to corporate marketing and operations director, Richard Lancaster, who will continue to have overall responsibility for all marketing communications, corporate campaigns as well as merchandising, space and format.
In a separate move, Morrisons commercial director - services, Simon Eastwood, will be appointed to the new role of customer experience director reporting directly into group commercial director, Richard Hodgson. He will aim to provide the business with a sharper focus on customer experience and customers' relationship with Morrisons. Eastwood will continue with his current remit for customer concessions.
Commenting on the appointments, Hodgson said, "Maintaining the momentum of our marketing activity and putting customer experience at the heart of every thing we do are key to delivering Morrisons’ ambitious plans for 2012. These moves ensure we have the right talent in the right places."
