Morrisons debuts comic Christmas ad
Morrisons has adopted a comic approach to its festive advert this year in what it describes as a huge departure from last years celebrity-led campaign.
The supermarket’s 90 second advert, which aired last night during the X Factor results show, focused on the “hard work and comedy moments that go into making the day special” rather than “picture-perfect”.
Morrisons said the advert shows the pressures families face when preparing for the big day by highlighting “comedy moments” with scenes such as a turkey wrestle in a boxing ring, Mum sitting on a mound of Brussels sprouts, and Mum needing a few extra pairs of arms to get everything finished in time.
The campaign, which was created by DLKW Lowe, features music created by the American Oscar nominated composer John Debney.
