Monsoon appoints WH Smith man as FD
Mark McMenemy to join fashion retailer
Fashion retailer Monsoon has appointed Mark McMenemy as group finance director.
McMenemy is currently interim finance director at WH Smith. Monsoon said his start date will be confirmed in the near future. The new appointee has also held board level positions at Mothercare and Clarks Shoes.
Monsoon chief executive Rose Foster said: “I am delighted Mark is joining us. I am confident his experience will be of a significant benefit to the Business. We look forward to welcoming him to the company.”
Monsoon said it is also considering a request for board representation for two non-executive directors from Stoneycroft, controlled by the family trusts of Monsoon founder Peter Simon, who recently took the business onto the AIM market.
