Memsahib Collections arrives on Fulham Road
Memsahib Collections, the fashion label specialising in hand-embroidered silk ladies wear from India, has launched a multi-brand pop-up shop on London’s Fulham Road.
Situated at 273 Fulham Road, the 601 square foot shop named Joie de Vivre will remain open until 28 May.
The pop-up will stock Memsahib’s collection of luxuriously embroidered and quilted silk jackets, fur and lace trim shawls and kaftans. It will also feature jewellery, shoes and childrenswear from a number of other brands including Jilly Isaac Jewellery, Me Encanta Jewellery and Bellalou.
Memsahib Collections was founded in 2003 by mother and daughter duo Gita and Malika Bagai.
Malika and Gita said: “Fulham Road is a prime shopping destination that attracts a diverse and international consumer base.
“Our label’s reputation for quality handcrafted pieces has attracted interest from distinguished clients including British and European royals, and we are extremely pleased to have secured such a highly sought after location to help build on our success.
“Our multi-brand pop-up allows the individually selected brands to complement our own collection, and further adds to the impressive variety of brands on the Fulham Road.”
Memsahib Collections is the latest in a series of fashion brands to launch on the Sloane Stanley Estate, with the news following the opening announcement for Summer Box, the summerwear company, which returned to 340 King’s Road in April following its success last year.
Hannah Grievson, commercial property manager at Sloane Stanley, said: “Memsahib Collections is ‘London’s best kept secret’, as described in British Vogue, and we are delighted they have chosen Fulham Road to exhibit their designs.”
Sloane Stanley is one of the oldest landowning estates in London. The estate owns and manages hundreds of residential and commercial properties on the King’s Road and Fulham Road.
