Meadowhall signs up five new retailers

The Meadowhall shopping centre in Sheffield has announced that it has signed up five new retailers.

Two footwear brands, Crocs and Foot Asylum, have taken units in the British Land owned shopping centre with Foot Asylum signing up for a 3,400 sq ft store and Crocs taking a 1,700 sq ft unit. Both retailers are committing to ten year leases.

In addition, The Sweater Shop has agreed a five year lease for 1,900 sq ft unit and menswear retailer Tessuti has taken a 3,900 sq ft store on a ten year lease.

Claire Barber, head of shopping centre asset management for British Land, said: "As Yorkshire’s premier retail destination, Meadowhall has seen an increase of 17% in average spend and continues to attract a diverse and exciting array of retailers satisfying the needs of an increasingly premium customer.

"We are delighted to build on our recent lettings to Carluccio’s, Lego, Cath Kidston and Armani Exchange by bringing more new brands into the centre. We will continue to work with our retailers to ensure they have the right space in the right location."
