Makeover for B&Q ranges
B&Q is investing Â£18m in a new look and new products for its showroom areas for kitchen, bathroom and bedroom ranges.
The retailer will be introducing new branded white goods, as well as selling Armitage Shanks-branded bathrooms for the first time. An Armitage Shanks range exclusive to B&Q will be launched later in the year.
Other initiatives will include an entirely new range of shower enclosures, and ready-assembled bedroom furniture lines. Products including mattresses and sofas will be introduced. The retailer will also be investing in installation services and staff training programmes to improve the customer experience.
“From bathrooms to bedrooms and showers to sofas, we've identified room to improve and expand our showroom ranges as well as identifying space for growth in new product areas at a time when our customers are improving rather than moving,” says B&Q chief executive Euan Sutherland.
