Lipsy celebrates opening of first international stores
London-based young fashion brand Lipsy has launched its first international stores. The new openings in Dubai in the Middle East follow LipsyÂ’s multi-territory franchise deal with Landmark Group, which was announced last November.
Lipsy, which was acquired by Next plc in 2008, is planning further openings in Dubai, Bahrain and Qatar throughout 2012. The company also sells internationally through concessions in department stores in France, Singapore, Australia and the USA.
Emma Dobson, head of international and business development at Lipsy said: "These initial openings in Dubai mark an exciting chapter in Lipsy’s ongoing success story. The Lipsy brand has rapidly-growing global appeal and recognition and as such, since doors opened earlier this month, initial customer response has exceeded expectation.
"Lipsy is committed to international expansion and we look forward to exploring further opportunities for growth this year."
