Life & Style reported to be close to administration
Fashion chain Life & Style is on the brink of administration, court papers have shown.
Papers have been submitted to the High Court in Manchester in which the company has indicated its intention to appoint administrators. Life & Style therefore has until 13 June to confirm the appointment. However, two previous notices to appoint administrators were served in May but both have expired.
The Altrincham based company was created out of administration only a year ago by Elaine McPherson, the former head of failed fashion chain Ethel Austin. McPherson bought the trade name and assets of Merseyside-based Ethel Austin and fellow chain Au Naturale. It was the second time that McPherson had bought Ethel Austin from administration ater the chain first collapsed in May 2008.
