Levi's opens flagship store in Paris
Levi’s is to open a new flagship store in Paris. Located on the world famous Champs Élysées, the store is the jeans maker’s second largest in Europe, behind its flagship store in London’s Regent Street.
The 650 sq m shop housed on three floors has a vintage and industrial ‘look and feel’ with sustainable design integrated into every aspect of the store from the electrics and lighting to the ventilation. Wherever possible, FSC-certified woods have been used and the store is filled with reclaimed, reused, restored and existing materials.
The store design highlights the relationship denim has had between France, in particular Paris, and America. During the next two months the store will celebrate this relationship with music and art-themed installations, limited-edition collaboratively designed apparel and a series of events, screenings and interactive workshops by French and American DJs, designers and artists such as Mr Andre, Shepard Fairey, Pedro Winter and James Murphy.
In addition, the store will feature a tailoring shop on the first floor where customers can have their favourite denim items tailored by a team of specialized craftsmen. The tailoring shop is one of only four in the world, the others being in London, New York and San Francisco.
The new store opens today.
