Christopher Kane names new chief executive

Luxury fashion brand Christopher Kane has appointed Sarah Crook as chief executive.

Crook will succeed Alexandre de Brettes who has completed the integration of the brand into the Kering Group. He will remain within the company to ensure a smooth transition before taking another position within Kering.

In her new role, Crook will report to Marco Bizzarri, chief executive of the Kering Luxury – Couture and Leather Goods division.

Previously strategic brand and business consultant to the British Fashion Council, Crook also worked at Stella McCartney between 2004 and 2012, first as merchandise and business development director and then as vice-president.

As chief executive of Christopher Kane, Crook will be responsible for building the brand across the world.

Commenting on the appointment Bizzarri said: “We are pleased to welcome Sarah Crook back to the Kering Group to take the helm at Christopher Kane. I’m confident that both her strong merchandising and commercial skills and her extensive expertise in business development acquired over the years will benefit the Christopher Kane brand in its strategic expansion.”
