John Lewis names new chief information officer
The John Lewis Partnership has appointed Andrew Murphy as its next chief information officer.
Due to take up his new role on 1 February, Murphy currently holds the position of group productivity director for the Partnership where he led the change programme.
He will replace Paul Coby who is leaving the business at the end of April after almost seven years.
Sir Charlie Mayfield, chairman of the John Lewis Partnership, said: “I want to take this opportunity to thank Paul for his outstanding contribution to our business and the legacy he has left. Paul was the architect of the IT strategy for John Lewis, which helped to transform the business into a leading omnichannel retailer.”
Murphy joined the John Lewis Partnership in 1992 and since then has held a number of roles. These have included managing director of John Lewis Aberdeen and managing director of John Lewis Edinburgh. In 2009 Murphy was appointed director of operational development before becoming retail director, John Lewis in 2010 and group productivity director in 2015.
